I can get excited when finding a new kids brand with just that little extra and special feeling. I am a bit picky when it comes to buying clothes for my little boys and always searching for special items. Finch and Agnes is just that brand that really makes me smile. The items are made of the most soft fabric you can imagine and the colors and details are just perfect.

Finch and Agnes is the brand of Bregje Bazin and started from the desire to find original wear for wee ones. Soon after Bregje became a mother she found out it wasn't easy to find nice, distinctive clothing for her firstborn. The idea of starting her own label lingered in the back of her mind and during a family trip to Australia somewhere between Finch Hatton and Agnes Water she knew what her label had to be like.

The brand is a collection of personal favourites. Part minimalistic modern, part retro. Carefully picked muted colors, embroidery artwork, soft jersey and fine denim. From my own experience I can tell you that the items and the fabric is absolutely great.

Granny's finest DDW 2014

Tuesday was a very fun and inspiring day for me at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven! Before we went on or mission to find some great kids-design, we started with a little meet and greet at the DDW Bloggerscafe in Coffeelovers. Here was Lonneke from Bubbelmint, the mind behind DDW Bloggerscafe, Esther from Urban Moms and some other inspiring bloggers like Citymom, Circusbeer, Pimpelwit, Babyccino, Kidsroomzuid, Moodkids and Petit Lou.

Once at the DDW I saw a lot of great things but one of the things that really stayed with me was the launch of this collection specially made for the little ones. The concept is amazing and the clothes look absolutely adorable with its soft and sweet color palette.

This children's collection is designed by young designers/students and hand-knitted by the granny's from Granny's finest who where there too, working on their next pieces. Without them: no craft, no warm knits and... No such fun... Because what's more fun then practice your hobby and make something beautiful while enjoying tea, cookies and each other? :)

Besides Granny's finest there is so much more and if you are planning on going too, you can easily bring your kids with! There are so many things to see and do, also for them! Check out the program on the website and see which spots you would like most! You can visit the DDW until 26 october.

For the latest ZARA lookbook that we created we used the beautiful product from Bisou de Lou. The fish were so great using together with the boat. 

Bisou de Lou is the brand of Eveline Boer with handmade interior object with a high fun factor. They are perfect for kids rooms and for kids to play with. Every animal, cushion or other design is unique and made from changing interior fabrics.

supernana felt shoes and slippers

When my oldest boy wished for some slippers just like me...so when he wakes up he can put them on his feet...in his words...:) the search for some nice slippers began.

And I found them at Supernana, a Dutch brand that sells handmade felt baby shoes, children's slippers and some other toys in felt. I love the different slippers and shoes they offer. They are available in different colors and shapes. I choose the first pair of slippers and in real they are even more beautiful. Made with care, perfect quality and some great anti-slip dots on the soles.

Dutch children's book - Hannah and the ghosts

 

A Dutch children's book called Hannah en de spoken (Hanna and the gosths),
is a beautiful black and white book for the little ones aged 3-8 years.

Hannah is a girl who sees ghosts everywhere. 

She talks all day whith them, and listens to what they say. 

With the simple but pretty drawings the classic story about ghosts gets a new live.

Do you already know the lovely brand KEK Amsterdam?
We have known this brand for a while now and are drawn
to their great designs every time we see them.

KEK is a brand based in Amsterdam, where all the magic happens.
They design special products, different and refreshing and made with a twist. 

They specialize in things wall decoration like wall decals and wallpaper.

The animal sticker are almost real and look amazing on a white wall.

Rafa kids

We loved the R toddler bed of Rafa kids already when there was only the natural wood version. But now it gets even better because it is available in more colors (dark chocolate and white wash). The white wash version is so amazing and beautiful.

The R toddler bed is a bed that encourages the child's independence and also stimulates his growth through play. Rafa kids not only thinks of a bed as a place to sleep but alos as a challenging and beautiful element of his room. The wheels give it that playful look.
